Ambulatory Care clinics provide medical procedures that can be done in a day and do not require an overnight stay in hospital. Patients receive their care in hospital, and go home to recover, which is often preferable for patients, cost effective for the hospital, and can reduce the risk of hospital-acquired infections.
Booking an Ambulatory Care Appointment
All appointments in Ambulatory Care (e.g. Fracture Clinic) are scheduled through your Physician’s / Surgeon’s office, and they will in turn inform Brightshores of the date/time when we can expect to see you. Ambulatory Care only receives the appointment list 2 days before your appointment. Please call your Physician/Surgeon’s office to cancel or confirm your appointment date and time.
