Brightshores Health System operates six hospitals in the region serving a population of approximately 170,000. Our vision is to offer quality health care close to home.
Our hospital in Markdale houses a range of ambulatory, in-patient and emergency services and is located 40 minutes South of our Level 2 regional referral centre in Owen Sound. Our supporting Owen Sound site offers a full range of specialty services including complex surgeries, total joint replacements, cancer surgeries, MRI and CT scans.
Team
Supported by a dedicated team of family physicians, we plan to strengthen support for our Markdale Emergency Department with additional Full-Time and Part-Time Emergency
Medicine Physicians.
Local Inpatient care and full-time/part-time Clinical practice opportunities are also available in Markdale and Flesherton.
Service Delivery
ED shifts are 12 hours (8a-8p/8p-8a) or full 24-hours if preferred.
Lab, imaging on-site, with 8-bed inpatient unit. Brand-new hospital opened September 2023.
We have excellent specialty back-up at our Level 2 regional referral centre in Owen Sound and comprehensive diagnostic imaging.
Qualifications
Interested candidates should be CCFP or CCFP (EM) designated, or eligibility to obtain.
Independent license to practice in Ontario.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate (Alternate Funding Agreement) plus percentage of shadow billings. Fee-for-service OHIP for clinical practice and inpatient work.
