Brightshores Health System and our five Foundations are thrilled to participate in Light It Up! For NDEAM on October 17, 2024. This initiative brings awareness to National Disability Employment Awareness Month. All Brightshores sites will be lit up purple and blue.
Brightshores is the first health system in Canada to participate in this initiative. This initiative sparks conversation about disabilities and inclusion initiatives in the workplace. Brightshores values diversity – in background and experiences. We foster and support a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome all parties to participate and help build the future of healthcare.
“This is the first time an entire hospital network anywhere in Canada is participating in the event. It’s really exciting to have Brightshores Health System involved in Light It Up! For NDEAM™ in such a big way,” says Dean Askin, Communications Strategist for the Ontario Disability Employment Network (ODEN) and the National Campaign Co-ordinator of Light It Up! For NDEAM.
On Thursday October 17, 2024, at 7PM, Brightshores Health System will light up our sites in blue and purple to help recognize and spread awareness of NDEAM.
Brightshores Health System, Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation, Centre Grey Health Services Foundation, Meaford Hospital Foundation, Brightshores Owen Sound Foundation and Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation are committed to equitable employment and we are excited to continue to participate in initiatives such as Light It Up! For NDEAM.
