WAGE RATE: $24.526 – $26.436
Reporting to the Manager, Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Clinical Secretary provides a variety of clerical duties to support the departmental programs. Key responsibilities include compiling and submitting statistics in a timely manner, office maintenance including inventory control and arranging equipment maintenance, reception duties, typing, filing, scheduling and registrations of clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of Grade 12 with relevant administrative/secretarial experience or post-secondary business/office administration education diploma
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Client-service focused
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask
- Typing (45 w.p.m.), Word and Excel (to be tested)
- Computer skills, including use of Windows XP, Microsoft Outlook, Access Database and MediPay
- Knowledge and Proficiency in the GBHS Dictation system (to be tested)
- Demonstrated ability in providing administrative support in an environment with a broad variety of clerical and clinical functions
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in the following competencies: communication, team work, initiative/self management and accountability, time management, organizational skills, and flexibility/adaptability
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple demands, frequent interruptions, and to deal effectively with clients who are in crisis, or in other stressful situations
