Brightshores Health System has a long standing commitment to improving quality and safety. Our leaders and staff work to identify and achieve key targets for quality and safety, such as reducing preventable deaths, infection rates and medication incidents, and improving wait times and patient satisfaction.
Our Board of Directors has a Quality of Care Committee which regularly reviews the organization’s progress on meeting these targets, discusses how we are performing over time compared with best practice guidelines and other hospitals, and how we might improve.
Brightshores has embedded quality improvement into our culture, with staff and physicians focused on continuous improvement within the context of our overall quality framework, patient flow and access, patient safety and patient satisfaction.
