Thank you for your interest in the Brightshores Wellness and Recovery Centre Art Project.
For centuries, art has been used to restore the mind, body, and soul. The main purpose of this project is to highlight how art can connect people, promote kindness, focus on building relationships, and celebrate diversity. Be a part of the story and help us create a beautiful and healing space.
Our theme is “Recovery through Meaning, Belonging, Purpose and Hope”. These key wellness outcomes (identified by the First Nations Mental Wellness Continuum Framework) align with the Indigenous Medicine Wheel, which may offer some guidance and inspiration as you develop your artwork. The Medicine Wheel’s Four Directions also align with many animals, plants, and themes available for your creative interpretation.
Submissions are now closed. Selected Artists will be contacted. Thank you for your submissions.
